Coccio Pesto

‘Coccio pesto’ is an ancient technique that is based on using on lime mixed with different types of sand. The technique of this brick powder was used by the Romans for the construction of aqueducts, tanks, bath tubs. In Morocco it is called “Tadelakt” and is famous for it’s marble-like finish (through the use of black soap and river stones for polishing.) The colour can be natural or artificially modified by the addition of pigments.
